I’ve been in the digital marketing business for a while now and I still find myself surprised to see how many small businesses are without a website. Why do you think that is?
More often than not it’s because they don’t know why they should have one… Well, we hope to stop that here!
There are two main reasons why a website is beneficial for your business:
2 Reasons a Website is Beneficial
It gives you credibility. For people who don’t know you, but want to find out more about what you do or how they can reach out to be able to work with you on something; they need some way of knowing that it’s the right company and not just somebody running scams by using your name! A website will create an authoritative digital footprint in which potential clients can then read up on information such as testimonials, credentials, portfolio pieces, or case studies – all while being confident that this IS YOUR company because there is no other “website” representing themselves as YOUR company. This helps reduce confusion among potential customers and grows trust levels between them and your company.
It also helps you stand out from the competition! There’s a lot of companies that offer what you do and if they can’t find you on the web, chances are, they will go to someone else! That means there are more than enough competitors to go around – but having a website just sets yourself apart from those who don’t have one because people will be able to find information about what exactly your business offers in an easier manner. They’ll know where to look first when being faced with so many choices, which can result in higher conversion rates and better opportunities for generating new clients or leads.
How to Accomplish Website Design
Knowing these reasons why small businesses need websites should give them all the motivation they need; now let’s take time to talk about how they can accomplish this!
One way to get started is by using a website builder – such as WordPress. You don’t need any experience with coding, so you’re never left feeling like the process is out of your reach.
But hold up!!!
If you don’t have experience in designing or coding, then you will likely need to research plugins, payout some hefty charges to use said plugins, and it still may not be what you were wanting… With that being said, this option is not for everyone. If you don’t have experience with website design at all, then the next option is your best bet.
– Another option would be having someone else create one for you. These are called web design agencies and they’re the quickest route to getting a website. They take care of all the technicalities so you don’t have to; freeing up your time for other tasks at hand!
All in all, having a website is not only beneficial but necessary (to some level) for any small business looking to be successful today. So if you can manage it – go ahead and make that happen!
There are so many other things you can do with your website, once it is created. You can create blogs, present social affirmations, give important info, and more! Stay tuned to our blog as we plan to dive deeper into this!
